Mike Jauregui \u2013 Director, Hometown Band<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mike brings a rich and diverse musical background to his role as Director of the Hometown Band. A passionate educator, performer, and producer, Mike\u2019s career spans classical training, community engagement, and collaborations with world-renowned artists.<\/p>\n

A graduate of Eastern Washington University and the University of Redlands Conservatory of Music, Mike also studied at the prestigious Royal Academy of Music in London. His musical foundation was shaped under the guidance of legendary instructors including Ian Bousfield (Vienna Philharmonic), Denis Wick (London Symphony), Per Brevig (Metropolitan Opera), Gene Pokorney (Chicago Symphony Orchestra), Randall Hawes (Detroit Symphony Orchestra), and Dr. Andrew Glendening (University of Redlands).<\/p>\n

Mike\u2019s dedication to music education is evident in his former role as choir director at Eagle Harbor Congregational Church and his creation of youth music programs for the YMCA of Pierce & Kitsap Counties. He is the founder of Mike Jauregui Productions and Fairweather Cottage Studios, where he leads the Kitsap Academy of Music and supports local artists through recording and mentorship.<\/p>\n

As a versatile performer, Mike has shared the stage with Grammy Award-winning composer Mateo Messina and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees Mike McCready (Pearl Jam), Mike Mills (R.E.M.), and Sir Mix-a-Lot. He currently serves as Director of Music Ministry at North Point Church in Poulsbo and teaches Music and Technology at Crosspoint Christian Schools.<\/p>\n
